Geeze my cat spazzes over these, lol. He'll usually end up chewing the little brown things on the end up but it lasts awhile. I'll probably get this as a backup, thanks Autumn

Judging by the videos on Amazon this is just a piece of curved iron wire with what looks like a brown piece of something attached to one of the ends. If I have to hold it for my cat to play with it, it's not much different from me using a string to play with the kitty. So what makes this toy so special?

It usually comes "spooled" in a small package, so it's possible to keep it in a slinky form and simulate circular and infinity loop flying insect motions with a flick of the wrist.

I got this the last time it was on here. My two cats love it... It really is just a piece of wire all spooled up with little cardboard pieces rolled up at the ends. Worth a buck to avoid dealing with bending wire like that to me because those little cardboard pieces are definitely on there - cats gnaw at them endlessly, and as previously stated, the string is very tense and easy to flick if you keep it curved like that. Package admits it won't last forever though.

You can't replicate the movement with just string. I didn't believe it either but I bought one just to try. The second I pulled it out of the package the cats went crazy. Just the way it moves cause of the wire makes them go crazy. With string they usually ignore it or get bored quickly. I even had it and used it on a stray and the stray chased it.

I bought it last time. As others have said, it's a piece of wire with a few little pieces of cardboard rolled-up into it. My cat has zero interest and in the ten minutes I tried to get him interested, I feel like I just about poked both our eyes out.

FWIW - From our experience with this toy appearances are definitely deceiving. Definitely looks like "what's the big deal?" but the way it moves and swings back and forth drives our girls crazy. They love it!

At this price I'll pick one up just as a backup as the one we have is like ten years old.

This ties those fluttering feather toys as my cats' favorites. It doesn't last forever, especially if your cats are good at catching it, but it's definitely worth a couple bucks.

Idk why, but my cat just love it! It's one of the cheapest cat toy I've ever had, but it's still my cats favorite toy by far. Amazing

It makes absolutely no sense why this particular product that's only a piece of cardboard and wire drives my cats bonkers, but it'll probably be one of the best toys they'll ever play with
