Most budget TVs dont have a great speakers on them. Picture/video isrelatively decent on cheaper TVs, but expect to buy a sound bar otherwise you get tin-can audio, or just poor audio. Look at most TVs at rtings and you will see that audio is the most common thing rated poorly despite good video. Basic sound bar takes car of that.

You can add a Squaretrade warranty for, I think, a month after purchase date. But IMO (and in the opinion of most experts), extended warranties aren't really worth it for most products. Instead, buy it with a credit card that adds an extra year to the manufacturers warranty for free.
