Denon AVR-S750H - 75 watts per channel into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.08% THD, with 2 channels driven

Yamaha TSR-700 - 100 W (8 ohms, 0.06% THD) Rated Output Power (20Hz-20kHz, 2ch driven)

I bough the Yamaha last week and its 2020 model with complete redesign and 8k support. It's a better choice than this ..

dB is a logarithmic scale - 3 is a lot.

If you have the Yamaha in your region it's a better deal. But it wasn't available to half of the US.

Yamaha's front design is quirky though.

Not seeing the Yamaha TSR-700 on Costco's site anymore. I was torn between this Denon and that Yamaha when it was available. Ultimately went with the Denon and will be requesting a price adjustment next week. I was replacing a Yamaha RX-V673 that died a slow death (audio cutting out that gradually got worse), so I decided to give a different brand a try. Yamaha's companion mobile app is better than Denon's, but that's my only complaint so far.

Would this be an upgrade or comparable to a Onkyo TX NR656?

I don't have any issues with my Onkyo but it doesn't fit in my new entertainment center... so it's currently just sitting on the side.
