Just got an email from Redpocket about a flash sale on ebay; more details at the link below.

7 GB/mth at $209.99 for a year (17.50 per month); available on CDMA / CDMAS / GSMA

20 GB/mth at $299.99 for a year ($25 per month); available on CDMAS / GSMA.

Ebay currently has a 5% ebay bucks offer upto 10/22 midnight; offer by invitation only, YMMV. Expired

Go to this link for the info about the RP offers (including a 2GB /mth offer that doesn't look like a particularly great deal..), plus the links to their ebay offers..

It (2G) becomes almost totally unusable at that point. I know because I did it once.

Ditto. Completely unusable.

I've been with RedPocket for 2.5 years or so. GSMA and now CDMAV. RedPocket is a barebones service.
It works but as others have stated don't count on the 2g.
i currently have mint mobile.
their unlimited 2G is 128k/sec and works fine for email, txt, and mobile facebook.

so you dont even get 2G with red pocket, despite their claims??

My wife had Ultra and Red Pocket (Tmo both times). The 2G was unusable at both MVNOs after the high speed allotment was used up.

Both me and my wife's experiences have been great with Red Pocket for the last couple years using their 1GB GSMT (T-Mobil) variant.
Cost is $9 per month each via annual payment.

I've been with RP for a few years, two lines. No problems at all, except for a half day of outage more than a year ago, and maybe four half-hour outages across the years. The few times I've had to deal with CS, they resolved issues in minutes. I've had a better experience with RP than with AT&T, VZW, T-mobile, RingPlus, Boost, FreedomPop. Probably some other carriers too - I have a lot of devices.

I added two more RP lines a couple months ago. Four lines now, still no problems. Renewing for another year, thanks OP.

That's cheaper than I'm paying. How'd you get that price?

I may get a site to load on occasion but honestly no. I get timeouts more than anything.

I dont see anywhere....is this for new accounts only, or can I re-up an existing RedPocket account with this special sale? I got my MIL on RP last year, and her year is up come December. I'd love to re-up her for another year at this price.

I've had better download rates than att prepaid. Especially during more congested times. When I go over my data limit, internet is pretty all over the place. It may be 128kb/s. Sometimes the internet works like navigation, Email, MMS, messaging apps, they work and refresh. Just don't expect to be browsing other things like facebook before it times out.

I had redpocket AT&T and had some issues with quality of reception. Switched over to redpocket Verizon and no issues so far

My wife's phone is on RP (GSM-A), I am on at&t. Her phone has signal in the NGA mountains while my phone does not. Take this however you want, just wanted to put it out there.

Same here. I just wished for renewals they allowed us to stack rather than reset (i.e lose the remaining days on your existing annual plan).

I've had RP since last Jan. I purchased one of these annual deals around this time last year. Before RP I was using Straightalk and Net10. Both were more expensive and not as good service wise. My home is a dead spot for pretty much any wireless service but the only one that somewhat comes in is ATT.

RP has been way better than any of the other similar services I tried. I had a small issue porting my # but RP support was actually great, way better than the Tracfone type support.

I just purchased the S20FE Unlocked and am using it with RP on ATT. My service drastically increased in quality and I'm even more thrilled. I've referred a few friends and they've all been pleased with their service. As of now I'm waiting for a deal to purchase another year of service. I use very little data so this plan is more than I need.

I think it's about expectations. If you are expecting a $100 single line unlimited plan benefits from a major provider then of course you'll be disappointed. This is great for people like me who need reliable calling and reliable data when they aren't using their typical WiFi network.

I had RP 500MB plan for a year ($60) and everything was good except that the SIM wouldn't auto-populate the APN data in my unlocked Samsung Note 8, and it's apparently a known issue in (some) 8/9/10 galaxy phones. The data can be added manually, but it make swapping SIMs a royal PITA.

Support was poor in troubleshooting the issue (aka useless) but no worse than other bottom-dollar providers like Tracfone.

I just take a screenshot of the email and set up a reminder to apply at renewal. Not as convenient but not a major hardship either. I do the same for refill ePins from Target, Kroger.

You can select Renewal/Existing Sim and they will email you an ePin. You have 90 days to activate so it should work fine for you. I just did the same for my plan that renews in Jan.
