Please hold off on buying anything PC unless it's a real steal... Prices are about to shift in a week or two. Even the used market might get more saturated.

In terms of this, it's a pretty meh deal. You're getting shotty parts in a shitty case all for average price. No upgrade path like ryzen either.
This is an excellent deal for anyone looking to get a dedicated streaming PC setup using hardward NVENC encoding, or anyone looking to do low spec PC gaming. It shouldn't have much issue holding most games to 1080p/60 assuming you're ok with not turning everything to Ultra.

Great job finding this deal OP!
Parts come out yearly. what he means is the next gen is literally a few weeks away. Not another year away. So you can get next gen performance for the same price if you wait the 2-3weeks. Or even get this stuff for even cheaper.

if your PC exploded and you need it to do work etc sure maybe buy now. but if not wait a bit

That's how much ram the processor is capable of handling. Has nothing to do with how many leftover ram slots there are on the mobo.

This is a good deal it's even better than the deal I purchased at Dell that is expired now.
https://slickdeals.net/f/14401814-alienware-aurora-r8-i5-9400-8gb-ddr4-1tb-hdd-gtx-1660-super-460w-p...

The only thing is that it's from Newegg.....
Dell would be better but even then, I'm still waiting for delivery as mine says delivery by 10/29.

As for the motherboard, I doubt that it'd be one where you can OC. With the Dell deal you can.

Both slots are occupied.

The other channels are not soldered on, in typical prebuilt motherboard fashion.

But the other commenter was correct in that you could use two 64GB DIMMs if you wanted to plunk down $800 on ram.

This is basically the same price someone would pay to build something similar. But I know people who wouldn't dare lift a finger or a screw driver to build a pc and would rather buy something already made

Ryzen 5600x, 5800x and 5900x, also 6800xt 6900xt and rtx 3070 are releasing soon

I guarantee ebay or offerup is going to blow up with parts people trying to sell. Not worth buying now when this isn't even a good price for the parts.

Don't buy new now and get some last gen shit... I'm not trusting lenovo picking out quality parts either...
