This was front page the other day when it was 20 cents cheaper. Clearly this is a thumbs down deal at this price Big Grin

Joking aside, I have an older version of this multi-tool and I really don't care for it. Perhaps they fixed a few of my issues.

The first is that it's really bulky in the hand. When folded up so you can use it as a knife, the handle is about 1 3/4" tall and oddly shaped. My Leatherman Blast is about 1 1/8" tall and rectangular. Another issue for me was the screw driver blades were all useless. The flat heads were too thick to fit into a typical screw slot. The philips was just poorly shaped so it didn't fit the screws well. So awkward shape aside it just didn't do many of the jobs you want a multi-tool to do. It looks like they might have improved that with this version. However, some of the reviews suggest they have gone down hill in other areas.

Perhaps worth the $22 but I wouldn't have my Leatherman if this had been a better tool to start with.
I keep thinking about getting a multitool and then realize I have been working from home for more than 5 years (and counting) and don't go very far with little kids (and COVID). Might as well walk the few steps to the junk drawer and get the full sized versions of these tools.

While the Birbury looks like a good deal, it is not a Gerber or Leatherman. It's like comparing the price of a Ford to that of a Mercedes.

Just get the Leatherman when it goes on sale instead of this knockoff. Better hinges, lighter, so you'll actually carry and use it without being a chore.

Lowe's had this bundled with an additional knife for $19.99 within the last two weeks. It seems this deal pops up every now and again if you can wait.

For daily or heavy use, Leatherman wave is the best. I already have a pair of Gerber that I use for random repair. I would recommend purchasing for spare or emergency kit or survival kit in the car.
