Some want to still be able to run windows on macs which ARM will not allow
I got one. Didn't have any Apple warranty so I called them, explained where I got it from, and submitted the invoice. Now have AppleCare plus eligibility for AppleCare+
My main point is just least wait for announcement.
After it, the intel computer should start getting discounts and you could make more educated decision on what suits you and possibly have better savings.

I am just curious about software compatibilities. Many Mac users I know still run bootcamp for whatever. Regardless, there's so much software for x86. I dont doubt the performance AT ALL, if the iPad Pros are a clue, it will be very powerful.
However, as the replies have shown, bootcamp would not work. One thing that should be considered should be the price.
I don't think that the same ARM would be priced this low for the same 16gb ram and 512gb ssd and for people who need it, this is still a good deal.
