It's showing as a coupon for 50% off which is about average for Lenovo. I've been watching the price of the T14 for around a month now and it's been 50% off a couple times now. Not super hot IMO.
Before anyone complains about the 128gb SSD (like they do with all of the other Thinkpad deals) please note that it is a much better deal to replace the SSD yourself as opposed to paying Lenovo hundreds of dollars to upgrade to a larger SSD.
What are the estimated shipping times purchasers are seeing? Unsure whether to bite...
The shipping times are a joke. I ordered one more than a month ago and every couple of weeks the delivery date would get pushed further by another 15 days. I eventually cancelled my order
Because of the x2 slot and soldered RAM, I went with the L14 (two RAM slots and two x4 slots), which has a slightly larger footprint than the T14.
The main reason for not choosing L15 or L15 AMD version is that they don't provide any high quality display options. Max you can get is a 300 nits 45% NTSC display, (check the Lenovo Psref for the L14 and L15 Platform Specification)
And the reason you gave about the 2 Ram slot is not really much of a deal because here you can configure the soldered Ram size which I have chosen as 16GB. So, by adding another 16GB to the empty slot, you can have 32GB running in Dual Channel which is more than enough for 99% of the people.
"Think45" is a better coupon and is good through 10/28 (I think)
No it does not when it was active. This is a 50% off coupon. With THINK45 coupon, the price of this exact same spec will be $1036, almost $100 higher. What's the point of suggesting these without actually validating before posting?
Yeah - I ordered one on 10/5. The shipping dates are jumping all over the place. It was supposed to be shipped somewhere Late November, then it got pulled in to 10/31, then it flipped to 11/11, then 11/14. Really annoying. Very teasing!
Can anyone tell me what the difference between this type c 3.1 vs a "Thunderbolt" port it besides thunderbolt being propriety to intel.....seems like it does the same thing?
Also, anyone know if the gpu is vr ready? For Oculus Quest 2?
