For me, the $40 was worth it for the RGB Mirror effect and thicker radiator (casing is same but fins are deeper).

Yes, definitely some trade offs. No RGB on the fans for this one and the controller isn't an aRGB hub (though that means less of a wiring mess).

New revamped pump, better radiator, and better fan. The ARGB affects are only on the pump block. ARGB lighting is a infinite ring style

You don't need any AIO. A little air cooler is more than capable depending on your tolerance for noise.
