BASED on the specifications listed.

We can deduce a FEW things.

This is 4K.

It has 300nit peak brightness

4000:1 contrast ratio, < this means it's a VA Panel>

The fact that it's listed as 4000:1 likely also means, it is using spatial dithering, so it's not using 1:1 pixel mapping, But this doesn't matter, and is a GOOD THING ,, especially for such a large panel. Smooth contrast is more useful than 1:1 pixel mapping.

Spatial dithering might be able to be disabled, OR NOT.

That was many moons ago,

The Sharp name is just licensed and passed along to the highest bidder.

I have some old neighbor ladies across the lake that always give me dirty looks and sometimes watch me with binoculars. I'm so tempted to buy 4 of these and mount them together for 140 inches and then play porn all day.

I'm pretty sure it's not full array (typo on BB's site). Native refresh rate is 60, with an 'effective' refresh rate of 120. it also appears to run an android OS.

****I was surprised based on the price, but it is, indeed, full array***

Refresh rate is 60Htz. But that's expected at this price point.

Is this real Sharp again, or still Chinese garbage that Sharp licenses their name to?

Last time I heard Foxconn (as Sharp's new owner) ripped up their licensing agreements with the Chinese generic TV producers and planned to have their own TV available for sale in North America again?

Isn't Sharp the OEM for LG and/or Samsung 4K TVs?

Apparently Sharp does state that it's full array but not much into available online http://sharphomeusa.com/homeenter...-C70BK2UD/

There is nothing about this set other than the links given by others above, so there's no way of knowing. I may come to regret this, but at this point I think I'll stick with the one I already bought over this - kind of a "better the devil you know than the one you don't" line of thinking.
