I would wait for Ninebot max to drop to 650 on BlackFriday.

Ninebot Max has better range, speed, and comfort (10inch air tires)

Looks like this only has rear brakes.. not very safe

Going down hill with your weight and stopping would be an issue.

It only has rear brakes..not enough stopping power. Flat should be ok.. but I would look for scooters with mechanic brakes

My GF and I rode one once and we are probably slightly over 300lbs together. There was a noticeable drop in acceleration uphill but on flat ground it felt fine. Didn't feel any less safe. I dunno I might shoot for a more powerful model.

Almost all scooters say they have mechanical brakes, is this different than the back foot break? Do you know any particular model to look at? I am not keen about speed or mileage, I am only interested in a very light scooter, safety, and comfortable ride.
