Given the weight, themal could be good. I won't buy a gaming laptop for less than 5lb.

Comparable specs however Helios 300 has much better thermals. Been happy with mine and that's the biggest reason I went with it over the ge75

Been debating this or the top end Nitro 5 (with 16GB memory vs 8), any thoughts on the comparison? Amazon has the Nitro 5 for $840 before Black Friday, would be gaming a bit but generally not playing the newest games.

I've Owned this laptop since Feb and I use it for gaming, streaming, and multimedia editing. It is worth the price you pay, but I did have to send it to Acer for a Manufacturer Warranty Repair. Got it back in like 3 weeks, seemed to be a motherboard issue. Happens all the time im sure, just got unlucky, but its a solid product and a beast of a performer. You wont be disappointed!

Depends. I love my g14 bc its such a small form factor and only 3.6lbs. Plus the ryzen 4900hs is much more efficient and just as powerful or more in some cases. This laptop does have a better screen and response time though. But its pretty damn heavy and big. The g14 has a bigger battery with a more efficient chip set so it will last much longer as well along the 8-10 hour range for non gaming use.

You are referring to the 9th gen this 10th. Think it will hit $999 on BF.
