I have this stand and experience the same issue as you (have a 12" slider - the 65lb Bosch Glide saw). What I found is that the saw itself had slide down towards the right side of the bracket (between the two poles, requiring A LOT more effort to open it). Once I repositioned it in the center between the brackets and tightened it back up, it was much easier to open.

Fantastic deal and stand. I was waiting on a sale but got impatient and ordered a factory blemished from DTO for $189 a couple weeks ago when they had $50 off $200+.

The stand is so awesome that I'm not even that upset I could have gotten it for $99 at HD. I felt it was still a steal at $189 - $50 (plus bought something small I needed anyway to get the $50 off).

It's a no brainer at this price.

Gah! I've been waiting for this deal for close to a year and I just lost my job last month. Why oh why couldn't this have come up 2-3 months ago. Oh well. Great deal, wish I could partake. I'm sure it'll be around again after I've obtained gainful employment.

Anyone know how long this will last?

I have store credit but it doesn't allow me to use it online. Wondering if I should risk waiting for after work and pick one up or order online without store credit, pick up, return and pay with store credit.

Buy it for instore pickup, then once you go pick it up tell them you want to cancel and purchase it there instore to use your credit.

Got this last year BF. Have my 12 inch sliding Ryobi mounted to it. Just make sure you have room to store it folded up.
