Be sure to toss the garbage hardware that comes with it and buy your own to mount it. Other than that, nothing but praise.

It is solid butcher block. Not particle board. I own one, it's very solid.

In for two one for the Garage to use as workbench, the other for the kitchen to use as bar top when needed.

I assume by that you mean the screws not the actual mount?

Anyone know if they sell those brackets separately and what they called. I could make them out of angle bars

Curious as well. I could always build my own with just plywood if not for the brackets. Don't need something super fancy

I assume as well, regarding the bolts to attach to the wall.

I didn't have any issues with the hardware (screws) that came with this.

I wonder if they fixed this issue, this is from the description:

I build the same thing with slotted iron bars for my solar panel. I'm going to use that instead.

I've built a few of these and this is only a good price if you absolutely need the butcher block and 500# capacity. I also wouldn't recommend putting 500# on a shelf like that.

I have a couple in my home gym that I use to store kettle bells @ 250# on one shelf and another for random things. I also have two in my garage that I use for all kinds of things. Holding detailing supplies when working on the cars, fixing the kids toys, etc. You can find these brackets on Amazon and Rockler is also a good source. Search for drop leaf support or drop leaf bracket. For all of my shelves I maybe spent $120 total and that was mostly on the brackets. The tops for the ones in the garage are actually off some of those heavy duty collapsible outdoor tables. The legs rusted after years of abuse so I removed the hardware and mounted the top on the brackets. They work great and super easy to clean off.
