One note on this item, if you set it up via wifi, it will demand you turn on location tracking unnecessarily. Those sorts of things speak a lot about what the company thinks about your privacy and protecting your data.

Not a good thermometer for the deep freezer.

I went with Govee WiFi Hygrometer 3 sensors. It's been working great for the last 3 months. My deep freezer is in the detached garage and the main sensor is in the house 20 ft away. Always has signal and loads up within 15 seconds. It covers temps from -18 and up for me at this moment. I recommend them highly.

What makes it not good for a deep freezer?

I have several of these in action, though they do not state this I even have one of them in the refrigerator. Mine works fine though because it is a metal case (like other comment someone made o deep freezer) did not think it would work, i also have the ones with sensors on cables that probably have longer range. I have at least 60 of their sensors and controllers on my property. have several door sensors and so on for security. they by far have the best all in one reasonably prices sensors and so on. I am an engineer with a hobby of alarms.

lora wan connection on the yolink is so easy to pair, and has such amazing range.

Wish these were the outdoor ones though, or that they would have a higher contrast screen for inside

I have a few of these I need to set up, and I thought the best way to do that is to set it up using Wi-Fi and then I think to switch it to no longer use WiFi? I think that's what the manual suggests. Can you please advise?
