I returned mine... used it every day for 28 days, wanted to keep it, but the few advantages over the XM3 are buggy.
- pair to 2 devices works well most of the time. But at least twice a day it would stay paired to the wrong device. Take a call on my cellphone, hang up, lock the screen. Go back to laptop, turn on Spotify... no sound. Even though my phone was locked and no audio coming out it still thought it was there. It becomes annoying after dealing with it so often.
- on head detection: works well most of the time, but if you use it for work (long hours) the cushion get a little smushed, so music would still play if you take them off since the ear ups would be in view of the sensor...
I ended up turning off the dual pairing, and having to manually pause the music... at which point the cheaper XM3s make more sense...
Literally bought XM3s this morning from Amazon treasure truck deal. I read a couple articles and heres the issues people have with the XM4s:
-touch controls were made less sensitive because of complaints on the XM3s but it has made them seem unresponsive
-mic has no upgrade and seems a little more hallow
-look identical to XM3
-audio upgrades for noise cancelling are good, but the XM3s ruled the market so although better, a lot of people are very happy with the 3s.
-two device bluetooth for XM4s is cool but many people have trouble switching back and forth and it can get annoying
Overall I think the XM4s dont blow the socks off the XM3s so a lot of people are a little indifferent about upgrading. Like I said, I just bought the XM3s after being super excited about the XM4 release but since no one has raved about a huge difference, I thought I might save myself a couple dollars
These "are" the new headphones.... so I am really surprised to see the price drop so quickly....
One of the biggest market for these models have been frequent flyers and that has segment had practically gone down to zero due to COVID, so that could be the major reason for the price drop...

So this is $20 cheaper than the deal a few weeks ago and it comes with a free power bank? don't get me wrong, this is definitely a great deal but does anybody know why the price keeps going down, I thought this model just came out?

May be not enough demand? and too many headsets in market.....

I think because of the COVID-19, they are not selling as much as expected. Maybe they want to sell their inventory before they release new headphones.

Thanks for the insight. Had the X2s and upgraded to the X3s. Atleast I know now I can wait for the X5s.
I bought this on prime day and I'm considering returning it because the mic is awful. I've had multiple conference calls where I used these and the other people told me they had trouble hearing me. They sound much better than the QC 35 but they are heavier and have a tighter fit. But the mic issues might be a deal breaker for me. Will keep testing it out for a few more weeks before deciding.

Good to know, thanks. Both of those features worked perfectly on my Surface Headphones; shame I broke the headband.

How much were the xm3 from the treasure truck deal
I've RMA two pairs cause the right cup would make a crackling sound after a couple hours of listening. Also one of the pairs would randomly disconnect and power off.
