Biggest difference you will notice is the jump in screen real estate which is worth it. Your Sony is likely 1080p and this is 4k and do not expect TV's these days to last 10 years like your Sony.. Might be worth to spend little extra on extended warranty.

Anyone know how this 65" HiSense compares quality wise to the 75" TCL deal for $499? It's double the price and 10" bigger, but is it worth it quality wise? I have the 65" on order but am debating if I should try to order the 75" instead.
