I dont know why people bother coming into sound bar deal posts and try to thread/product crap it. Sound bars are not for everyone - full blown receiver/bookshelf speaker setups are also not for everyone. Im currently renting so Im not wasting time and money to wire speakers all over the place. Additionally, we don't turn up the volume very high, so a higher powered receiver wouldn't benefit much over a soundbar. Also, sound bars just are easier to fit in and more aesthetically pleasing. My wife would not like if I had a big receiver and multiple speakers in the front of us. I could mount the sound bar under my TV, on the wall, and the entire entertainment shelf is open for consoles, pictures, etc. So getting her to agree to buy an upgraded sound system is much easier with a soundbar.
Who should get a soundbar
If you want better sound than you're getting from your TV's built-in speakers but you don't want to piece together a variety of separate components (such as an AV or stereo receiver and a speaker package), a soundbar is the way to go. Separate components almost always provide better performance for your dollar, but they also take up more space and require additional cables, and their operation is more complicated. A good soundbar strikes a balance between performance and convenience, delivering improved sound quality in a package that's easier to set up and use.
Returned mine yesterday cause the rotating speakers started grinding gears after 1 week!
Wow grabbed an open box one for 489. Insane deal on this new release. Hoping RTings reviews this well

Decent deal, I wish there were more reviews on it though. Worried the rotating speakers are just going to break. Probably good for the price if you can't get the Q90R/Q950T/SN11RG for the $800-$900 lows they have been a few times.

Yeah just pulled the trigger for 489 open box and will test it and wait for RTings review (it's in their lab right now for testing). Extended holiday returns so should be good
Didn't this just drop? Awesome deal if it goes through.
Yeah released a couple weeks ago. Not sure if best buy meant to discount every single vizio product. They even discounted the new Vizio OLED 65" to 1499

I've been looking out the open box models. I guess I missed it.
30% off a brand new release Atmos soundbar. I have been looking at this and jump in immediately when I saw the price drop. Use GC and Paypal for additional saving to make it below $700 after tax.
Still holding out for the M-series 5.1.2 coming out next month. This one's fine it just seems unnecessarily expensive for a gimmick I would probably never use (rotating speakers).
This is an insane deal for a set that JUST came out. I bought a set for $1,000 yesterday and just saw this new price today. Called Best Buy and they gave me back $300 on their price match. Quick and easy. Wahoo!
Only Best Buy has it right now... Walmart, Amazon don't carry it and so they have exclusivity at the moment and to discount it by $300 is awesome. They did the discount for the whole lineup and didn't exclude the new items. It's not just a gimmick and early reviews say it sounds awesome.

Same here I've been waiting for more info on release date of the M series 5.1.2. But it still just says holiday 2020 on the Vizio product page.

Since you already bought it what do you do if this soundbar sounds great to you but rtings gives it a shitty review?
