The free Instant Ink plan is dead.
I posted a PSA about this a couple weeks ago, but I guess the mods deleted it since I can't find it anywhere now.
The 15 pages / month plan is converting to $1/mo, with up to three months of overflow (so you could end up with 45 pages in a month if you really only print a few times a year). Emails have been going out to customers for a while now. No one is being grandfathered in; the credit card linked to your account will automatically start being charged on the date listed in your email (which should also be shown in your account online).
For anyone buying printers just for free ink for life, I just received an email yesterday that instant ink program is changing soon. No more totally free option.
These printers are for people to will use their Instantink program, which worked perfectly for me when it was Free, but still decent at $1 for 15 pages a month.
Otherwise, stay way from HP and their overpriced Inkjets
Are these printers good for using just the scan feature ?

But it's also a write off for me as self employed. If it wasn't I may think differently. I do like the convenience anyway.
