Don't get me wrong, the Craftsman is made well, but doesn't show you the torque progression as you approach the target setting and only clicks like a micrometer style torque wrench when you hit target torque. The GW shows you the torque progression, digitally, as you tighten the bolt and then can be set to alert you 10, 25, 50% of torque target by beeping and eventually vibrating as you hit target torque. Additionally, it will show you where you torque it at when you stop... so, set it at 80 ft lbs and crank it past that, then it will show you, for ex, that you stopped at 85 ft lbs instead of 80 ft lbs. Finally, it should show degrees as well. I know on some mfr torque specs on my VW that VW calls for, for ex, 90 ft lbs + 90 degrees (**EDIT - I'm not sure on this, the degrees may only be on the more expensive 85079 model with flex head and not this, the 85077 model).
If I didn't already have the digital 1/2 Craftsman, I'd have bought this, myself - at least at this price.
Here's a YouTube video from Apex that's pretty good if you're seriously interested:

I have a Craftsman 1/2 digital and this is better. I have a Snap On 3/8 digital and a GearWrench 1/4 digital as well, so I have good experience with different brands. That said, the Craftsman is simply a regular torque wrench with a digital screen to set torque.

The 3/8" is also at the lowest price, so I may pick that one up.

Thanks for the feedback. I looked at price history and sd history and found the $110 lowest price in 2018 but felt like current price is good enough for me to grab one. By the way, hf torque wrench has lifetime warranty and no receipt is needed. You should get it replaced instead of fixing it yourself.
