This was just released on Tuesday and I purchased the 3-Pack at Best Buy for $499. If I'd known this was an option, I would have gone with it instead. Each units is a full-on router with a USB port and 4 Ethernet ports. So far it's performing admirably.

I know this isn't on sale, but if It's something I'd have found useful.

Thanks OP... why not return at BB and get these instead?
although I am no fan of Linksys from past experience these look good on paper as they seem to have tri-band and dynamic backhaul.
only missing is any included anti-virus / security service - some brands are offering these including lifetime.
hopefully these go on sale soon enough.

I believe you can shop at Costco with a gift card if you don't have a membership.

Any one use there velop for long term? Really want to upgrade to a mesh network but more routers, more point of failure. I could care less about the speed is reliability is what im after. When you are in charge on your home network and everytime the connection drops you hear it from family members. How reliable are the velop connection wise? I have an asus ac68u which has been great for years

I might, just bought this two days ago and then found the Costco deal late last night. Best Buy has a 15% coupon off of new networking hardware when you recycle old networking hardware, so I think I paid around $425 for three + tax. I could probably make do with one. Still one more for $125 beats paying $250 for a new one should I need it it in the not too distant future.

Is this the same as MX10600 listed at BestBuy for $599?

Essentially there are 2 new models. AX5300 and the AX4200. Specs are almost identical, but the 5 series has a 2.2GHz CPU, double the RAM and more wifi speed (5300 vs 4200). Both are triband, 4x4. I've got the old 2200 series and they are great with some issues with the Web app, firmware updates kicking you out at any time, and well basic mesh issues (devices connecting to the AP with a lower signal).

All in all, best Mesh I've used for the money

It is not. This is the AX4200. That one is AX5300, has double the on board memory - 1gb vs 512MB, and a faster processor 2.2ghz, vs 1.4ghz. So far this router has worked well for me. I had to download a new driver for my computer's network card. Took a while to figure that out, but otherwise pleased. Only had for 3.5 days, though.

I don't know why this isn't getting more love. Cheaper and newer than an Orbi RBK50 or RBK752.

Much appreciated. I just spoke to customer care and it seems techwise this is the same as MX12600 except that MX12600 has three nodes while MX8400C has two nodes. All nodes are AX4200.

Just to make it worthwhile, if you order via Linksys Customer Care, they will give you 15% off.
