I'm looking for a cheap desktop replacement that is portable on occasion.
Its gonna be either this or I wait until Thanksgiving sale to build a mini ATX setup for the same price but much more powerful... but by then halloween and the game hype would be over...

Which is about equal in performance to this 3550, cpu wize, but has 1 ram slot only, no dual channel meaning - 5-20% in many apps, but closer to 3-10% in games at 1080p high/ultra. The 3550u is also a 15w part vs 45, it will have better battery life, and can max at twice the RAM.
As for the upcoming deals, hands down a r5-4600H is way faster than an i5-10300H, i5-9300HF or r5-3550u:
