Was looking around Home Depot and came across the Ryobi 1/2in Impact Wrench for $99 with the 4ah battery. Seems to be an early release for the holiday deals. Sorry if posted already....1st deal post for me.

I was able to get one yesterday. My store said there were 8 in stock when i had an employee scan the SKU code. It wasnt at the end cap like it says or anywhere near the Ryobi section.
He was able to find it in another aisle at the very end top shelf. Not sure how he knew where to look but said they were being stored for next weeks sale, but i was able to get one and it rang up $99
Keep looking, the boxes have he SKU on them so look up top and opposite end of the aisle. Good luck.
I've been waiting over 2 years for a brushless version of this tool. What's the holdup?
They came out with a brushless version of the 3/8 recently so there's always hope.... I'd love for them to come out with a brushless 1/2 that was around 750 ft/lbs.
Unless you are a contractor or heavily working on cars everyday does the brushless buys you anything? For me I use it once in a while to rotate my tires and for emergency on the road. The brush version is plenty for me.

Agreed. Definitely this one is plenty for the average diy person. Will pull off most bolts on cars. Honestly if you have a rusted on bolt you run the risk of snapping it off with an impact so there's times where I'd have to use a breaker bar instead to not risk breaking off a bolt head.

Yup it is pretty powerful. Just don't be dumb like me and think the 123 switch is speed and assume 1 would be stronger since there is usually a speed vs torque tradeoff, the 3 setting is stronger too
I own a cheapo Craftsman lithium one that works on most bolts with similar specs to this one, but have been hoping that Ryobi would come out with a high torque version, because the craftsman is the only tool I own that isnt Ryobi, and occasionally I need additional torque (I own a 13 yr old 3/4 ton diesel and a 30 yr old jeep). But alas, they have not yet. I ended up getting the Dewalt High Torque brushless 1/2 from Home Depot on sale, $199 with battery and charger. Sucks I have to go outside the Ryobi ecosystem, but excited for the next time I need 700 ft lb of ugga uggas!
I was able to place an order and they just called me to cancel the order.
Placed my order shortly before posting and just got the confirmation that the order was ready. I'll update the title to YMMV but I'm thinking since most every store shows 11 that they're in the process of stocking up for their holiday sale.
