Either the tool they wanted wasn't listed or they don't like refurb. It doesn't matter that the deal might be one that someone else would be happy to take advantage of. Basically people that think the world should revolve around them.

The circular saw is not brushless. It also has no brake.

Thanks OP. I was looking for a reciprocating saw. Got the brushless version XRJ05Z for $112.99. The lowest price that I have seen is $169 (currently at Home depot). Its a great deal.

Non-brushless XRJ04Z is $77.99. That's a good deal as well. Since I wanted a brushless, I got the other one.

I recommend NOT to buy the version XRJ01Z (71.99). It reviews are not great and XRJ04Z is only $6 more.

There are only a couple of deals here with the current 25 off 100 promotion going on.

The drill and driver kits are within a couple of bucks of what you can buy new and not eligible for promo items:

Generally love makita but I have the circular saw. Stay away from that one. It just devours battery literally so fast that you will deplete 2 batteries in half the time it takes to recharge one. For any project that takes more than a quick cut or two, it's a maddening experience.

No jigsaws or routers yet. I'll keep my eye on this though. Thank you!

I think there is a yellow to Makita battery adapter, so you can pick a Makita even if you have yellow batteries. Yellow is anyway usually 20v and not a problem to go down to 18v Makita. I have opposite Makita to yellow because I preferred the latters small dual power shop vac. It works well.

I'd go brushless. Futureproof. There are refurbished brushless for slightly more on ebay
