Just ordered with no issue. As a cleaning business owner, I have had several shark vacuum cleaners and would recommend this vacuum. The self cleaning brush roll is worth every penny. The best one is the powered lift away duo clean because you can go under furniture with it which is awesome and it literally picks up every speck of dust with the soft brush roll.
I picked this up for $98 at local Walmart. Said it was out of stock at my store, but actually had around 6 in stock (note: they were not in same area as all other vacuums).

Hopefully I can answer a few questions I had:

Yes - it does lift away (the 1st pic on Walmart website is wrong, it's not the Deluxe Lift Away, it's the Professional Lift Away). Just used this on my stairs.

The head actually swivels, which is not listed as one of the features.
3 modes: Off, Hard Floor, Carpet. Carpet engages the brush roll.
Cord is 25 ft. Plenty of length for walking up and down a regular set of stairs.
Felt a little heavier than I would have liked, but 1. I think I'm used to using a motorized head and 2. I'm lazy. This is not a deal breaker for me.
The body and connectors are made of plastic, which felt slightly cheap to me. Again, for $98 not a deal breaker. $200 I might look elsewhere.
Comes with a crevice tool and a pet multi tool. They are standard but very useful.
No physical pedal/release to disengage the handle from the upright position. You just put your foot on the floor head and pull down, if that makes sense.
Roller brush stops when you re-engage the handle back to upright position, which is a nice feature.
Hose length full extended might be around 6 feet. Felt a bit short if you need super high reach, but again, it is a lift off so you shouldn't need a 12 ft. hose.
Will not go under a bed/couch, but this isn't designed to do that. I think you can buy a tool if you need under the bed/couch.
Power button is on the main body, would have liked it on the handle for convenience, but not a deal breaker at all.
Best feature: Thing is a super sucker. Just vacuumed my BR and was disgusted and delighted all at once. Picked up a TON of dust, hair, and other stuff I didn't realize was there.

For $98, I think this is a no brainer if you can find it. Shark is great and the suction is top notch. Wish it was a little lighter, hose was slightly longer ,and connections felt more solid, but great deal overall.
Got one yay!!!! The way to know you're old, you're excited to buy a vacuum for black Friday sales. 😂😂😂😂.

How does this compare to Macys Shark NV105 for $80?

I use sharks for my business as well, highly recommended and they last. Usually my vacuums break wheels, handles, etc but the shark has been strong and reliable. I use a duoclean for my home and the dusting capabilities is outstanding since it reaches all the way to the baseboards and doesn't fling objects around since the rollers spin opposite directions funneling debris to the center suction area.

Thanks for this detailed info! I've been looking for a vacuum that can help with the odd crevices that collect dust on my quirky older home. Based on your review, I might have to skip this one and look for a deal on a DuoClean!

Just tried this and sure enough it has a fair bit of my long hair wrapped around the roller. I also saw hair in the tank when I emptied it, so it definitely sucked some up and didn't get all of it around the roller. But I only did a quick, light vac of the living room, so that was a fair collection on the roller for cleaning a small area, but probably less than my regular vac would've had.

Also, the swivel head is something I had to work at to hold steady while vacuuming. Haven't looked yet to see if there's a way to lock it in place; if anyone knows, please tell me. But I have back probs and this could be a real problem to use at times. The upside is that if you don't have back probs, you may enjoy getting a little workout to your core using this. It's also LOUD af.

This may be going back, not sure yet. Gonna get my husband to try the liftaway part on the stairs (it's also a bit heavy to carry), and if that does a good job we may keep it.

Thanks for your review... Did you end up keeping the vacuum? I'm on the fence and your situation might be the deciding factor 🙂

Just as I'm about to pull the trigger and get this one, my husband comes in and says that there's another slick deal to consider. Now, I'm stuck. What one to get?
Can anyone help me understand the difference between this one (CU500) and the NV586? The NV586 is also highly rated but $50 more. He says it's superior, I'm not so sure Any thoughts?
Here's the link to the deal
https://slickdeals.net/f/14592163-shark-navigator-nv586-150-save-200?v=1&src=SiteSearch
and the product: https://www.target.com/p/shark-na...A-23969746

Any help would be appreciated! I'm currently using my grandma's old Oreck upright. I love her dearly and don't want to get rid of it but it's not a very good vacuum!!

Does this have the felt strip on the bottom as shown in the 3 minute 15 second mark in this video to help with hard floors?

So far, I've still got it. Just used it once more since then and had a better time with it, but I was just doing a quick once-over on a few spots. For me, it will depend on how my back is doing when I try to use it! It also continued to get a good bit of my long hair wrapped around the roller, but not as much as my old vacuum gets. I'm on the fence still, but the hassle of returning mixed with the good suction mean I'll probably keep it. I think we have until late January to decide, haven't checked the exact return date.

Thanks for your feedback! I think we are going to get it. I don't mind a little heavy, especially if I know what to expect. Nothing can be more awkward than my grandma's old vacuum that I'm currently using! Thanks for this...it's good to know what to expect Smilie

I think it's a pretty good vacuum, just not as light and easy to handle as my old, cheaper vac. It'll probably be a nice upgrade from the old vac you're using.

I bought the cu500 and I can confirm that it does have a black felt strip on the bottom of the cleaning head just like in that video.

I guess protection plans, offered by walmart are not required for this item as Shark offers 5 years warranty. Any suggestions?

Great price! Wonder if this is better than the Kohl's deal I saw at $85 though...
