Walmart has Shark Navigator CU500 Upright Vacuum w/ Self-Cleaning Brushroll on sale for $98. Free shipping may be available in select areas, otherwise choose store pickup where available. Thanks iconian
Just ordered with no issue. As a cleaning business owner, I have had several shark vacuum cleaners and would recommend this vacuum. The self cleaning brush roll is worth every penny. The best one is the powered lift away duo clean because you can go under furniture with it which is awesome and it literally picks up every speck of dust with the soft brush roll.
I picked this up for $98 at local Walmart. Said it was out of stock at my store, but actually had around 6 in stock (note: they were not in same area as all other vacuums).
Hopefully I can answer a few questions I had:
Yes - it does lift away (the 1st pic on Walmart website is wrong, it's not the Deluxe Lift Away, it's the Professional Lift Away). Just used this on my stairs.
The head actually swivels, which is not listed as one of the features.
3 modes: Off, Hard Floor, Carpet. Carpet engages the brush roll.
Cord is 25 ft. Plenty of length for walking up and down a regular set of stairs.
Felt a little heavier than I would have liked, but 1. I think I'm used to using a motorized head and 2. I'm lazy. This is not a deal breaker for me.
The body and connectors are made of plastic, which felt slightly cheap to me. Again, for $98 not a deal breaker. $200 I might look elsewhere.
Comes with a crevice tool and a pet multi tool. They are standard but very useful.
No physical pedal/release to disengage the handle from the upright position. You just put your foot on the floor head and pull down, if that makes sense.
Roller brush stops when you re-engage the handle back to upright position, which is a nice feature.
Hose length full extended might be around 6 feet. Felt a bit short if you need super high reach, but again, it is a lift off so you shouldn't need a 12 ft. hose.
Will not go under a bed/couch, but this isn't designed to do that. I think you can buy a tool if you need under the bed/couch.
Power button is on the main body, would have liked it on the handle for convenience, but not a deal breaker at all.
Best feature: Thing is a super sucker. Just vacuumed my BR and was disgusted and delighted all at once. Picked up a TON of dust, hair, and other stuff I didn't realize was there.
For $98, I think this is a no brainer if you can find it. Shark is great and the suction is top notch. Wish it was a little lighter, hose was slightly longer ,and connections felt more solid, but great deal overall.
Got one yay!!!! The way to know you're old, you're excited to buy a vacuum for black Friday sales. 😂😂😂😂.

Thats great, long hair is a big issue in my house and i've spent way too much time cleaning rollers. That said, I don't understand how this technology works. I mean, its a roller, how does hair not get tangled? Does the hair get sucked into the cup? I guess i'll take a look when I receive it but I can't find any information online about how it actually works.
The self-cleaning roller has silicone blades in addition to bristles. The silicone blades cut through hair when spinning while not damaging the carpet. Bristles generally cannot cut hair.

I use sharks for my business as well, highly recommended and they last. Usually my vacuums break wheels, handles, etc but the shark has been strong and reliable. I use a duoclean for my home and the dusting capabilities is outstanding since it reaches all the way to the baseboards and doesn't fling objects around since the rollers spin opposite directions funneling debris to the center suction area.
Was so impressed with my Shark vacuum that I ended up just buying replacements parts on Amazon and fixing my 5 year old Shark instead of buying new. This price is incredible!

We broke the plastic on the extended wand and the handle w/hose connection clip broke. That particular part could be made better but, the thing never lost suction and is pretty easy to clean. I ordered about $40 in parts for a new handle w/hose and an off market extended wand and its good as new. I own the Rocket professional upright.

I was wondering about the same. Thanks for this info.

Btw return policy is 90 days and can return in store, for those on the fence between this and the Hoover like me.
thanks! last time when i checked a TV, it shows 30 days, I thought it is always 30 days. Glad to know
I was able to put an order for pick up. But the email said Holiday Sale items will be ready in 3-6 business days. I thought I was going to pick up later today. Oh well.
This vaccum is not available in stores. its not even on shelves.
you are better off shipping it to your home rather than wait and then go into the store to pickup.
the other hoover vaccum is available in stores(on shelves) though, if you want to pick it up
Is there any way to compare the costco version with this one to see which one is a better option? any ideas?

Is this really identical in every way except that it adds the brush cleaning feature?
Thanks OP! Hope it ships.
Well, you need to trade in 1 cow or 10 chickens!! ;-) lol
In a space with more carpets, I can definitely see this. But for homes with limited carpeting, no animals, I think this will be perfectly fine.
