False...you can use a DAC and manually set parametric EQ on Android or Window. Lightning cable only helps iOS users. I don't think Apple has a global pm eq option.

You need to understand technology: planar magnetic drivers always on plus size. Otherwise they will not work. This is open headphones in IEMS format, they will leak sound. Balanced always wins if you have choice. Pair them with good DAC/AMP and you will not regret, especially for this price.

Bought one of these 2 years ago b stock and the package and contents look brand new to me.

sound is amazing on these including bass response that is balanced but the only con is the shitty hooks that go into your ear. They break so easily after a few weeks then you have to dish out $10 to buy some more from audeze.

Edit- beat me to it but some other good info in the link for the curious:
Can use a usbc adapter on the cipher cable. For more and additional info: https://audeze.zendesk.com/hc/en-...ce-devices
Yeah that works perfectly.

Yeah, makes the Q-tips like Airpods stylish. But serious listening devices like this, who gives af what rando snowflakes thinks. I bought a pair of Westone earphones for this price and returned them the next day. I'm thinking of the Galaxy live buds because they are supposed to be super comfortable. My favorite headphone is my Philips 9500, for sound and comfort, and I have many that cost more. Price is not a good indicator of quality when it comes to sound production.

Who wouldn't want a TieFighter on their ear though? I want an Millennian Flacon on my head and act as a halo.

I know, right. I've been using cheap earphones for a long time (for audio books). Music I want good quality, but audio books I need comfort. Tough to serve two masters..

Without the lightning cable, this is a pretty bad headphone. Just FYI, you'll need it to get any good sound from it.
Yes and no. They are designed to be equalized. Without a cipher cable, Audeze Reveal DSP, or a well-crafted parametric eq, they do sound bad.

I have these with the lightning, lightning to usb c, and bluetooth cables, and have also used with Reveal on PC. They sound amazing in all of these forms.

The rubber ear "fins" are a game changer and worth the one-time purchase over the hooks.

Ya, for basic use they're perfectly fine. I got my Galaxy Buds+ and Buds Live with the Samsung watch bundle deal. The Buds+ sounded better but the Live were more comfortable. Actually one of the most comfortable I had ever worn. Sound quality is average.

These are the most polarizing earbuds out there, fit wise. I returned them even though I got them brand new at 50% off.

What exactly does b stock mean? Could find more info in the Adorama link.
Just means there is an unappealing cosmetic appearance somewhere. On speakers it would be a tree knot on the wood cabinets, so I'm not sure what it would be on earbuds. Maybe a design is a bit off or something. But it only is cosmetic, doesn't effect comfort or sound

I purchased a B-Stock Audeze LCD-2 through Adorama a few years back, it looked brand new when it arrived, in case anyone was wondering about it being B-Stock.

(This may vary by manufacturer) They may be open box/returned items or they're items that have a cosmetic defect or something. Or I could be totally wrong lol
I have purchased B Stock items for 20+ years for many items. B Stock is normally cosmetic blemishes and does not affect the item functionally. in fact most I have purchased looked brand new. this seems to be the standard for 'B Stock'. Never have I seen any that were returns.

A few examples I have had:
Denon AVR reciever - one led digit slightly faded compared to rest.

Garmin portable GPS units (multiple) - no identifiable blemishes. Looks brand new

Onkyo AVR receiver - looks brand new

Hope that helps someone.

Planning to get a Fiio m6 or m7 for this (I don't have the cipher cable), any thoughts on if it's a good idea for this headphones?
