Good question Truffleshuffle. The main thing here is quality. I own both types of mounts, this one, other Sanus mounts, and ones from Amazon. The main difference is quality. This Sanus is what I would buy for a main room or premium TV where you might have a lot of movement or action. These usually have cable management as well. Most of my Amazon mounts I get nervous moving them even a few inches because they're usually pretty cheap hardware/steel.

Thanks! That's the kind of response I was hoping for. If the quality is there then it's worth it. Home theater items sold at big box stores have the tendency to be overpriced to take advantage of the people buying the TVs in person.

Really nice TV mount. Sanus is a pretty great brand as far as TV mounts go. I've gotten this before at $100, so $50 is a no brainer. Deal ends on 11/8.

Doubt it. I got this at $100 and it's worth it imho. You're not gonna do much better than $50 for any large Sanus mount like this.

I'm almost positive I remember that. I wasn't happy I missed out. The mount from Best Buy was probably the smoothest and sleek looking mount I've seen for large TVs. Really hoping it pops up again this year. Who knows...

I agree this is a good deal on a quality mount.

You seem to be taking his opinion a little personal. He stated it was a good deal. We all know in the next few weeks all types of deals will be had, the more info the better. For larger TVs not all mounts are created equal depending on situation.

Yes, that price was insane. I had no intention of mounting 3 tvs until that deal went up and that it made too much sense not to. That being said this is a good deal because that was almost a year ago and nothing like it since. I actually bought one of these due to target return policy. I chose longest shipping method and can see if anything better comes along before opening.

I wasn't taking it personal, dude stated this could only hold 75lbs. when it can hold 100lbs. and was dogging the deal because it only has one arm, when it actually has two, so I was just saying dude just needed to chill/relax because his facts weren't right.
