Got a hoverboard a few years ago before they hit the US stores. Within 2 hours of getting it home I was in the ER and needed 3 staples in the back of my head. Pics upon request.

I'm sure they are much safer and slower now as the one I had could hit 20 mph, and I pushed it to that. It started violently shaking and dumped me at max speed on the concrete.

Damn. I feel for you. I fell from my bike (at night) and was unconscious for like 30 minutes in my own pool of blood. People found me and called 911. Next thing I remember I'm inside an ambulance. I didn't remember my own damn name. I didn't know where I lived. To this day I think about it and it gives me chills. Anywho, helmets are a must for these.
