Points to Remember:
1. Confirm your email before trying to log into App
2. You need to open a new account to get free trial. You can:
a. Change your email address on your old account and then use the original email to create a new account.
b. If using Gmail: If you add a period anywhere in your user name ([email protected]) you still receive emails, but noggin treats it like a new email.
c. Change Gmail address in old account by adding period, and then do new signup using normal Gmail address (so you don't have to change login info on your devices).

Turns out (at least in my case), I have to verify the email I signed up with first, before signing in on a mobile device.
The content of the email:
You've successfully created a Noggin account – awesome 🎉!
Now verify your email address to access your subscription across all your devices that support the Noggin app.
Makes sense.

Went to my Roku.
Added the Noggin channel.
Signed in with the account I just created (pro tip, you can use the Roku remote app on your phone to type this in. Much easier)
I tried to select content but got taken immediately to a screen about signing up for a free trial.
Came here, saw there was a verification email. Clicked the email.
Went back to my Roku. It was still signed in. Still showing the "sign up for a trial". Soooo
I closed the channel in the roku. Waited a minute.
Opened it back up.
And I'm now able to watch everything.
So for me at least. Using the noggin channel on my roku. I was able to get it to work.
