What's the warranty? Is it worth the difference from Costco for the warranty?

Just bought this from Amazon last week. Any tips on getting them to price match? If I return/reorder they're charging me $50 for return shipping
Damn same here. It just shipped out this week to be delivered Wednesday . I wonder will I get the 10% cash back since it is being delivered this week.

Nvm, just checked. Only got 5%. This sucks.

So, another question becomes, if we purchase this through the app because we received this (https://slickdeals.net/f/14511149-amazon-spend-200-get-15-300-get-25-500-get-60-via-app-ymmv) targeted offer, will we also receive the $60 credit to use at a later date? That would, in theory, bring the price of the tv below $1,650...all things considered. My wife is going to kill me, but man do I have an itchy trigger finger right now. 😂

Love this TV so much! I strongly recommend looking at warehouse deals as well. I got this for $1745.23 via warehouse deal on Oct 28th (the day the $1849-$1896 price cuts happened across Costco, Best Buy, Amazon, etc.) and made it sweeter with the ~$300 gift card I had and saved for a deal like this (paid $1564 after taxes). Paid with an Amazon credit card too!

Arrived yesterday and I mounted it in the living room, moving my tried and true C7 OLED it's replacing to our bedroom. Like all the TVs I've received via warehouse (including my C7 I mentioned), this arrived 100% new with plastic on the front and back from factory and 0 power on hours! Once my receiver arrives Tuesday, I'll be 2020 ready for PS5!

I believe if "there's something wrong with the product" then you don't get charged for the return. *cough*

I got the A8H from Amazon, wondering if I should return and get this, at this point the price is almost identical
A8H is a better tv if you're mostly watching movies/tv shows. Only upside the LG has is HDMI 2.1, only applicable if you are an avid gamer.

Sorry but having to open a new credit card to get a 10% discount is not very slick.
Fair point. Repped!

The only thing is that if you have Costco that deal is about similar and has a 5 year warranty.... 1850-100 Hulu + free 3 yr warranty card is $1750 and if you have a good credit card you get 2 or 3 percent cashback. So it's very similar .

If you don't have Costco $60 might be worth it for this deal. If not amazon deal is good

Costco for $20 did white glove delivery . And have amazing customer service.

Amazon REFUSES to price match anything even TVs sadly. I tried 3 times to get them to match my LG 77" and they just kept saying "we will gladly refund you and come pick it up" they never said anything about charging return shipping. Such a stupid policy

Looks like it's Amazon Prime Rewards Visa and Amazon Prime Store Card.

Have those cards forever, 2 of my favs

5% back on basically everything amazon ships and / or sells, i look at it as basically covering the sales tax on all my amazon purchases

Costco you get a longer warranty with. 100 dollars on Hulu also. Think that's the better deal.
IMO Cash is ALWAYS better than a warranty. Here almost $150 is the no brainer, not the higher price + free warranty u will likely never use and a tv service u also may never use and can get free or highly discounted in manyother ways. Plus ur paying more tax on the costco deal too. Worse in all ways..

IF you even keep ur tv the full 5 years but in year 3 to 5 u are now insirimg an outdated tv worth alot less and thats what they will want fo give u, another old/outdated tv (esp squaretrade, i got to page 3 of reviews for that wareanty and almost ALL were 1 star reviews...)

You may want to consider what you want out of the tv. If its picture quality go with CX. If options are more important stick with the Android tv. Ive seriously been debating sending this back and going with an Android tv again because of the option issues. Hard decision though because of the incredible picture with the CX.

The picture is great on the CX. I have had the 65 for a month.

Other than the picture I'm extremely disappointed. The options are crap.

Like picture in picture (pip) for instance. One screen has to be the LG web browser for pip to work. You cant watch two different tv channels from two different sources. That was a big thing that disappointed me. Why in the hell would I constantly want to have the LG web browser up? I enjoy watching pip with a different channel like with sports for instance. No dice with the LG. Basically pip doesn't exist on the LG with two tv channels. Android tvs Ive had pip actually worked.

Another thing is they jumbled all the coaxial channels from cable company together with the LG web channels with no way to find where the cable channels are located except by watching each channel and finding out which channel is which except by writing them down on a piece of paper. There is no way to name the channels so writing each channel location down is the only option for my coaxial cable channels.

They should've kept the LG web channels separate from cable tuner channels on different source locations not together. Almost all the channels though coaxial display no information. Its a mess with the channel locations moved to no particular order. No problems through hdmi. Ive always hooked up coaxial also specifically for pip or to watch a channel if my dvr is recording different channels. Never had this problem with Android tvs.

Last LG proprietary issues make certain apps banned. Like ESPN app for those that watch UFC. They even banned the ESPN+ section of ESPN from the LG web browser. The app is one thing but from the web browser?

This tv was supposed to be able to replace my Firestick. Not happening with the proprietary issues.

The proprietary issues aren't going to change. Been going on for years with LG and a lot of complaints from users have gone nowhere. However LG could fix the other issues I mentioned with a software update if they care enough about it but I seriously doubt it is going to happen. Especially with the 2021 models being released soon.

I haven't tested this myself but Ive read some threads with people stating they have done testing on the 2.1 ports and some are stating they aren't really 2.1 and having issues with them using them as monitors for high end pcs. Google it if you want to read up on it.

People say picture processing is a bit better on the Sony but the LG has gaming features for new console so it's more future proof Wirh 2.1 however banding color gradient and like color is a bit better on Sony
