"I bought this during the summer for $40 from Costco. It fit me perfectly with room to spare thanks to the adjustable ring. Surprisingly it fits my 8 and 6 year old children as well, again thanks to the adjustable ring. I ordered two more for them. The Red LED lights on the back of the helmet are long lasting and really bright. They can be set to stay on or blink. I still haven't figured out how to remove them to replace the batteries but so far the button cell batteries are still running well. Instruction manual says they slide downwards using two fingers but I couldn't do it. There are removable absorbent liners inside which can be cleaned and reinstalled. I am really impressed with it's comfort, lightweight, and design."

Anyone with first hand experience with this? Looks a little bulky, but for $30...
Also, I would not use for skateboarding/roller blading. Bike helmets are one time use items. Even if dropped, they are meant to deform after a single impact. Also the way the helmet sits on the head is different. Someone with more knowledge can chime in, but bike helmets are designed this way for a reason.

You would be better off with an ASTM certified (multiple impact) helmet. This helmet is CPSC certified for a single major impact, which is typical for bike helmets.
