If you have a lot of tile floors mixed with other types of floors/carpets and want the electronic mopping features, then get the S5 Max. Otherwise, stick with the S6.

damn i just got the s6 pure from that Amazon deal... should I really return for this. I got most hardwood but bunch of rugs/1 living room of carpet.

I did, it came on time and Roborock confirmed this is covered by warranty. I can not comment on service if something goes wrong with delivery.

Mine came out to $400 after tax. Difference is not too far off for me to consider the s5 max with no tax.

seems like the general consensus on other threads is if you're planning on using the mopping feature, the s5 max is better. otherwise, the s6 pure is probably good enough

Lol getting crazy with all these deals.. I have already returned the S6 / S6 Pure to amazon since I bought the S6 MaxV from HomeDepot and after chase 25% it's costing me $517 after tax.. it's still on its way.. then Bestbuy Deebot T8+ came in for $450 ($475 total) which I ordered as I like the idea of self-emptying bin... and now this... so confuse which one will be better i have single level house 3500sq ft with mix carpet/tile floor.. have small children so toys and stuff always on floor and definitely need mopping function :S

Stick to S5MAX. Same boat as you. Going to return the s6 Pure I got last week. No tax means for $40 more get one which is supposed to be the best..

S6 MaxV might be better for you due to the camera avoiding the toys that the laser would not "see".
