This requires a Schlage Wi-Fi hub which is around $60. Kinda pricey with that added.

What if I just want to use the keypad and a physical key?

Not needed if you are in the Apple ecosystem (Homekit) and have an iPad or an Apple TV.

There are tons of just keypad and key options for $50-70 from Schlage. I've got a wyze lock that came with a Wi-Fi hub for $107 on Amazon.

Well I need to get the same type of door handle too. I like the keypad, just don't need the wifi part.

Then don't connect to WiFi. I have this set and don't connect it to my home and it works just fine

If I understand correctly for HomeKit it doesn't need a hub if you have appletv or HomePod. For every other situation, you need it.
