I believe this is the old formula which has the preservative BAK in it. BAK is terrible for your eyes.
"Benzalkonium chloride has been associated with toxic effects such as "dry eye" and trabecular meshwork degeneration, but the underlying biochemical mechanism of ocular toxicity by BAK is unclear."

Took a chance and got a few bottles. I'll update the post if this is the new formulation without BAK (Benzalkonium chloride) or the old formulation with it.
Either way this is not a preservative free eye drop even without BAK. If you got a medical condition or recently had eye surgery, you were probably prescribed the pricey preservative free artificial tears anyway. Luckily those can be bought with FSA / HSA benefits if you have them.
Update: So I got them in the mail today from Amazon. These are the new formulation without BAK. However their expiration date is 09-2021 which is less than a year from now. Not a big deal but I can see now why they might have been discounted. If this deal in the future becomes alive again, just wanted to note it is the new formula.

I bought one and I don't even need it right now.
