I looked through the reviews and it looks like those who bought the 24-count received the pink marker with missing tip.
However, if you buy the 12-count, check immediately when you receive it.

I think it depends on the customer, whether they request for a refund or a replacement. However, one reviewer wrote that her replacement also had the pink marker with missing tip so with the replacements, YMMV.
