Mint mobile agent just told me that tomorrow will be a Black Friday sale for new members of buy 3 months get 3 free... But the device you're using cannot have been active on Mint Mobile for 91 days. So even if you order a new SIM or phone number it's the device you are using that will determine if you are eligible for the sale price.
So if you are using google voice and renewing with a new number the discount might not work.

Mint works on T-mobile, which is apparently the best network in the northwest and mid west. So, depending on where you live, this is a good network and $30/month is a fantastic price for unlimited. Even better when you get the 3 months free starting out. Best Buy does have the unlimited cards for $90/3 months now (+3 months free for new people). First year and a half will cost me $450 compared to $450 with ATT. After that, the extra $5 per month is worth unlimited on a better network(for my area).
T-Mobile, including the MVNOs using their network, will stop supporting non-VoLTE phones starting January 2021.

So for people looking to jump on T-Mobile or MVNOs using their network, like Mint, make sure your phone supports VoLTE.
I was recently able to activate my dad's old iPhone 5s on Mint. It doesn't support VoLTE and doesn't pass the compatibility check on Mint's site, but voice, text, & data currently do work.
Just waiting on my sister to pass down her 7 to him. I gave her $300 Apple GCs as an incentive to upgrade her phone 😂

I've noticed calls using VoLTE and WiFi calling sound noticeably clearer and crisper. It's kind of like HD for phone calls.
You only hear the difference on calls between phones that support the technology though.
Your Galaxy S7 should support VoLTE. Check this list for compatible devices.
