There are a lot of numbers between 3000 and 11000, Netgear seems determined to make an AX router model for every single one of them....
Did this a few weeks ago, got another 15% off

Put this on my watchlist the last time it was on sale.

Somebody said it was a noticeable upgrade from their Asus AC-RT68U/AC1900. I've been using that router since ~2014 but am looking for an upgrade.

Looking for any other feedback, larger test group, if anybody has an input. Thanks.

Its definitely an upgrade over your existing router, as for hearing more feedback you will not get much. This was just recently released primarily for this holiday season.

On a side note, ever think about getting the Asus version and having the option of AiMesh if you ever need extended coverage?

Just bought this a few weeks ago. Had the TP-Link AC1900. Granted my TP was old but this thing pulls 455 Mbps down and 18 Mbps up on Charters 400 Mbps service. So in other words it's a full speed superstar. I did have an issue with the 2.4Ghz frequency but was able to figure that out through built-in chat in the router app.

My home, about 2100 sq/ft I think.. isn't really big enough to need AiMesh. I think I'd prefer to just have 1 router. Also I believe the comparable Asus routers are probably ~$250. It would be spending more for unused overkill I think.

Actually they have a dual band at under $150. It was FP last week. As for 2100sq feet yeah your in one router territory but you could always use it to extend into the yard or external garage too.

I currently have the RT-86U, and I'm holding out for the AX-1100, so I can use AiMesh.

This or the Google WiFi router and point they will have for $169 on black Friday? We aren't super demanding but have a ton of smart home devices that seems to be bogging down our current router.
