It's worth noting that this monitor has 10-bit color depth.
This is a monster deal. Monster specs with the same price point as other way more budget and way less reputable brands. Been going back and forth between waiting on Costo's acer 34 ultrawide, monoprice 34 ultrawide and a few others. They were each a nice bang for the buck but for the same price point, this dell is the clear slick deal. So glad ive been paying attention and refreshing every once in a while to check in on this monitor.
For those of you not in the know (like me, until I bought this,) VA panels flicker when they're using low FPS compensation. It's extremely annoying. I wouldn't recommend a VA panel unless you're sure you'll never drop below the freesync threshold (47 FPS I think I'm this case.) Works great for most games for me but I can't make those kind of frames with Flight Simulator.

Also, HDR doesn't seem to work with freesync as advertised with freesync premium pro. This could be me, I'm on a mid-grade card (RX 590,) YMMV. I did buy a DP 1.4 cable to be sure, it comes with a DP 1.2.

For those that don't know what that means, what is the significance of 10 bit, and how does it affect gaming / movies / photo editing?

Hey, thanks for that bit of feedback. Because this is 1440p and PS5 does not support this resolution (at the moment) your image is upscaled from 1080p. How do you feel about the graphics performance?

S3220DGF is a fantastic monitor. I have an older A01 version and using Dell warranty to upgrade/exchange to the A03 version which allows 1440P at 120Hz using HDMI.

Why's it so much better than Costco's? It has a very slightly higher refresh rate and better colors, but everything else is very similar, no? I'm considering this but I was really looking for 34" rather than 32"... Would you still recommend this instead?

You are right, but I think ps5 will output to a 1440p display but at 1080p upscaled to 1440, rather than native 1440. Again it's not confirmed.
This monitor supports 120hz make sure manufacturing date is post June 2020.

I have this monitor, thinking of getting a second one, not using for productivity just gaming, ips blows this away in terms of color reproduction, keep that in mind,, plus the curve feels a bit awkward at this size for productivity, but for gaming it feels good, and the stand is awesome.
