so on sunday, can i buy the gift cards online, more than one?
like 20 in one transaction from target? or do i need to order one at a time online?

or do i need to be in store with 20 gift cards, buying one at a time?
i see people say 8 per transaction. is that at Target or is it at apple?

So I have seen the question a lot in the comments, but are people really going to buy 8 Apple gift cards to purchase a new iPhone? I am looking to purchase 2 new iPhones and this seems like the best deal so far, at least for an existing Verizon customer...

I read months ago that iTunes gift cards can no longer be applied towards your Apple Music subscription... any truth to that?
Well, sort of.
You used to be able to enter a $100 card and get a year of Apple Music.

Now that Apple has started charging taxes on Apple Music, that will no longer work.

You can add $100 in funds and use it for Apple Music, it just won't give you the year anymore.

Or use discover to get 5% cashback. I also got the 3% bonus on top of that. But that extra 3% is YMMV.
If you mean the first year everything double cash back for discover card, actually you can get an extra 5% back, not 3%.

Legit question as I see others commenting about buying hardware on Apple.com—is buying Apple products directly from Apple your best deal this holiday season or are you going to be negating the value of your Target cards by overpaying for Apple products? Am I wrong? I don't often buy Apple products and haven't ever bought direct. Seems for those with Apple subscriptions that'll need to be paid anyway, this is a good deal.
Apple's education pricing is better than Targets pricing/sales. Also I just bought the new M1 MacBook Air from Apple for 899. That's impossible to do from Target.

nope. Discover sent me and offer saying use my discover card and I get 3% on top of whatever cashback I am currently getting. Again it is YMMV.

Also - an awesome deal if you using Apple Military discounted store or EDU store.

1 per guest. wonder if they will enforce this per target account or per red card or per address.

I guess there is always cash and other credit cards while doing circles around the checkout lane.

You can try buying more stuff than the gift card amount and pay the rest with your red card. Should be able to get 5% off entire purchase.
I believe that trick is not working any more. Only the amount paid by red card got 5% off these days.

They could. But they totally want you to keep popping up. Raises the sales and number of transactions for holiday shopping.

Quick note on Target gift cards with Red Card for those (like me) looking to get multiple Apple gift cards.

Target has a "bug" in their system where if one or more gift cards can pay for an entire transaction, then you'll never get the 5% red card discount for that order since red card was never used. I now use gift cards to pay for most of a given transaction, then pay the remaining (even if a few dollars or a few cents) with a red card to get 5% on the entire transaction. It may take longer to consume all the cards, but 5% is 5%.

Found out the hard way with all the cards from last year's BF.
