You can buy iPhone with Apple Store GC, you can either that online, through the Apple Store App or in-store (do keep in mind though, for store purchase, you will have to make an appointment to buy the phone since they only allowed limited amount of people inside the store at once). Also for store purchase, you can use however much Apple giftcards you want, there is no limit. But pulling up the email with the giftcard or even from your Wallet app can be time consuming and annoying lol

Yes, if you order online, the maximum giftcards that can be applied to the order will be 8 only. However, one way to work around that is added the giftcard into your AppleID account first www.apple.com/redeem - maximum amount you can have under your AppleID is $2000, then you can use the giftcards for the rest.

For example, say you want a Macbook pro and only want to pay by giftcard, and the total costs is $2500. You would use your $2000 "credit" under your AppleID and then add five $100 giftcard during the ordering process and it will take. Make sure to check some cashback website for your Apple store online order (you can order it for pick up in store).
Thank you so much. You can use apple id credit plus 8 gift card which are the maximum for online purchase ?

If the value of imac is lower than $2000 credit, i can use the credit to pay?

Of course! That was just a way to go around the $2000 "credit" maximum and 8 giftcards per online order placed on Apple.com. You can buy pretty much anything but if the amount is $1910. I would just buy 19 $100 giftcard instead of 20 since you'll leave out $90 in GC balance, I would just pay $10 with credit card or something lol

Thanks for sharing. I have a question: I just see the Apple Card/Visa/DebitCard as well as the "Apply an Apple Gift Card" options in the payment page, so where I could apply the apple "credit" (my current apple credit is 0, though) ?

You can type the apple.com/redeem on your phone or mac (if you're using Mac) and there will be an option to either type in the giftcard pin (long string numbers and letter) or you can scanned it in and it will credit the giftcard balance into your AppleID. Note only $2000 maxed. This would not be on the order page.

Or go to www.apple.com --> top right corner, click on shopping bag --> account --> scroll down you'll see "Your Apple account balance" --> Manage your balance --> add giftcards! Hope that helps! Big Grin

apple.com/redeem is opening up itunes om MacAir. is it ok to add GC there even though its itunes? does it still add to apple account to buy hardware?

Just got 3 Target GCs. Waiting on the rest, I'm not worried. Order status shows "sent" for both cards.

Yes with the way Apple does it now, your "credit" under your AppleID you can use it to purchased Apps, movies, subscriptions, Applecare+, and even Apple products.

The old ways... itunes and Apple store gift cards are different, not anymore! Big Grin

You dont need to use Apple Gift Cards at checkout. Just put them all onto your Apple Account, and then when you go to Apple.com to buy hardware, you just apply the balance from your account. Then there's no issue with number of gift cards being applied because they've already all been applied.
Where does the "apply balance" option come up? Because I went thru a mock purchase and I don't see an option to apply balance. But currently I have NO balance. Does it become available once I have a balance?

Apply balance option will not show up there because you are in the purchase screen.

In able to add balance, either use apple.com/redeem and follow the steps or

go to Apple.com --> select shopping cart --> account --> "your apple balance account" --> Manage balance --> add money to balance/ redeem gift card voila!

Once you added some giftcards in there, during the purchase screen, there will be an option to "apply" your credit to your purchase. So no worry there, I just used my $2000 on the new M1 Macbook Pro and Air lol

Only one 20$ gift card per user? Why people are talking about stacking it?
