Bad mathematics dude/dudette.
I got $500 worth of Apple Cards for $376.
That's 24.8%. Without redcard it would be $400. Thats 20% rebate. Oh man!!

YOU ARE CONSIDERING $20 AS CASH. So you're paying $80 out of pocket.

If it was $120 Apple gift card and you got $20 cash back (or target gift card on that), that would be 16.7%

I need just one person to acknowledge this so I don't have to question my sanity or humanity. Just ONE person 😭

But I expect people with no basic mathematics skill to keep pressing 'Not Helpful' button. Sigh!
YES, I got you, Broseph.

Joey wants a $1000 computer from Apple. Joey buys 10 $100 giftcards from Target using his Redcard and pays exactly $960 for the $1000 worth of giftcards.

Target then sends Joey 10 $20 giftcards as part of a promotion. Joey now has $200 in Target giftcards, which is like cash for him, because he shops there regularly.

When Joey takes that into account, he essentially paid $760 for his new Apple computer. ($960 - $200 target giftcard instant rebate)

$760 is 76% of $1000, so Joey saved 24% vs purchasing this computer at another time.

In theory one could sell the cards for cash, thus it is 20% off. But I do understand the 'math' point.

those who dont think 16.6%,,,,,,,, you can think this.....if you use $20 GC in target later, then you will end up paying tax...so its applr $100 GC + ($20 traget gc - sales tax) == this is what the promotion here

That was not smart. You only get one gift card per transaction.

Cancelations are usually a result of credit card being declined. I got 3 of them after 4 first orders. I called Discover and the account was unlocked. I placed 4 more. I got 1 so far 7 still pending.
