Ordered the Bestbuy one 1 hour ago. Haven't received anything, not even a confirmation email. When I check the order on bestbuy.com, it says "preparing for tomorrow pickup" for apple GC, and "Email confirmation needed" for my $20 BB GC. When I clicked "Resend Confirmation Email", I got nothing in my inbox or Junk mailbox. Anybody experiencing the same?

I ordered 9 yesterday from target , got 1 within an hour still waiting for the rest.

I'm torn between the m1 air and m1 pro. From what I read there's very little difference performance wise?
I'm doing the exact same thing as you. I'm getting the Air. For the Pro, you get slightly better performance, Touch Bar, better mic and speakers, and slightly better than already-insane battery life. And the same crappy camera on both!

Update: Finally got my last Apple gift card from Monday 56 hrs after I ordered it. Haven't got the Target gift card yet.
Same here. So weird that they hold one of the card and deliver two days later than the others.

Ordered 3 more on Sunday and finally got them all just a few minutes back.

Regarding your M1 ... I'd go for the best config that fits your budget.
I always find myself needing a faster processor and more memory.
I'd go with the pro unless you don't care for the additional bells and whistles although the active cooling on the pro is a good thing. Good luck!

He's talking about the promo Apple has running direct as part of their Black Friday promos where Apple is giving giftcards/discounts on purchases directly from them.

Totally unrelated to the Target deal. The new M1 Macs are excluded from the promos Apple is running which gives an Apple giftcard to someone who buys an item from them.

The M1s are included:

Apple no longer sells any Intel MacBook Airs at all. And the only 13-inch Intel MBPs Apple sells are ones with 4 ports.

You just have to go to a physical Apple Store to buy them. And its 'only' a $50 GC.

Is this like $20 for each $100 Apple GC? I see just one $20 target GC for $600 Apple GC added to the cart

Target app says it is not sold in my store. Should I try going to store or it could be out of stock already. Do they sell physical gift cards at store?
Physical cards are available at store with same offer

Got it, thanks friends. I was misguided by the representative who I chatted with on target.com. He said that we can buy $600 at once and we will get $120 target GC 🀣

not sure if it's been discovered in the 142 pages I haven't read, but I purchased my macbook today using these cards.

I discovered that if you are buying multiple in-store at the self checkout, you can actually use the target gift card from your previous transaction to bring the next one down to $80.

This way, even if you were to buy 10 cards, you only end up with one Target GC at the end. This effectively gives you the full 20% off Smilie

BUYER BEWARE
-------------------------------------------------------

Long time lurker - one of my times posting, but this has gotten me so mad....

I bought over 10pcs of the $100 apple gift cards and only 1 of them worked. The rest were already redeemed before I returned home to use them. Some data points:
- Similar to Yong0644, I purchased them in a Target store in the greater San Diego area. Others were scammed in NJ and San Jose based off what I can tell
- I called Apple. The rep was able to check the value of other cards without ripping the seal. Same situation as others. Money is gone so Apple can't do anything or provide additional info due to legal reasons. A case was created for investigation.
- I called Target Relations (1-800-275-2273 --> Option 4 then 3 then 2. Was told I needed to speak to a "gift card specialist" but they're closed for the night. Will call again tomorrow
- As far as I could tell, the normal shopper will not be able to tell the difference between the ones that have been tampered with. Looking back at them, they all look geniune.
- Planning on filing a police report at the store if they cannot refund tomorrow
- Tried finding all the other mentions of this scam/fraud in the thread and quoted them below as additional data points. I'm sure I'm missing people though.

Honestly, I fully blame Target. My suspicion is a group of people at Target are accessing the codes and re-sealing the gift cards.

Question for the community:
1) I saw some posts about the online codes as well. Does anyone have trouble redeeming the $100 Apple gift card if sent electronically?
2) Any help from those affected would be greatly appreciated. This is only the surface and I'm sure many more are affected who don't even realize they've been robbed.

Thanks in advance,
Thanks for this information so I felt less lonely and panic. I bought 10 gift card from Kearny Mesa, San Diego store. I open 2 of them, shows already redeemed. Contact the apple support to check the rest. 9 out of 10 got fraudly redeemed. Apple said it was redeemed few minutes after I purchased.
Exactly same as below. Really suspect this store has some corruptions. and I felt really sick and panic now, especially after being boucing back and forth between Target and Apple, exhausted in store and long phone call. Helpless since it is really big money for me, and I am also so regretful since I was actually planning to go to the Mission Valley store but somehow pass the exit of highway and end up buying at Kearny Mesa.

I Bought 20 gift cards and 6 of them shows already redeemed. It was all from Kearny Mesa, San Diego store.
Other 14 gift cards was able to redeem in my account which I got from Mission Valley store. 800-544-2943 is target gift card department number.
