I bought five online, from same account. Received the apple gift cards but not the target ones. On the orders page it says "Promotional gift cards are sent shortly after the qualifying item ships or is picked up." Does that mean that I have to redeem the apple gift card in order to get the target GC?
No, just give it time. It should be applied directly to your Target account. Also they charge Apple and Target cards separately so they charge $80 for Apple and $20 for Target. If they end up not sending you Target GC then you only pay $80 Smilie

No, you do not have to redeemed them to activate target gift card. Just be patience and the target gift card will come.

Yes, I just checked.

I dunno why people are saying that. The actual code you use for redemption (16 alphanumeric characters) is hidden on the interior card, sealed with a pull-off strip. This redemption code is not part of the visible packaging that the cashier scans, or that you can read off the back.

Unless someone pulled off the tamper strip, removed the card inside the paper sleeve and wrote down the 16 character code (inside a white box), there's no way for people to be "waiting" to redeem/scam you on a card you purchased in store.

Yes a scammer/hacker would grab a bunch of apple giftcards and remove the strips then buy a pack from ebay to put back on and return the giftcards back to Target. Then setup a bot to check if the card is active or not. If active it will quickly transfer to a dummy account and then the end user have no recourse but take the "L" . See below the link where, you yourself can buy the security scratch-offs on Amazon!

I'm having an issue where they canceled half of my orders. I ordered 4 different transactions in the same account.

"We wanted to let you know that order # was canceled. We're sorry for the inconvenience. You haven't been charged for any items."

Anyone else have this issue?

That is almost exactly what they do except they don't write them down they scan them with their iPhone (the code in the white box is scannable like a QR code) and then run a program that constantly attempts to redeem them. They then reseal them with new tamper proof seals that can be bought on eBay 1,000 for $7 straight from China. Once you activate the card with purchase at the register they already have the money. It is pretty easy and common. A few years ago Lowe's got hit hard with this scam at their GC kiosk.

I was only allowed to buy 3 in store per the manager. My wife used her charm and got 4.

Ordered two around 1:30. Received both Apple GCs about 2 hours later. Oddly enough the first order took longer than the second. No Target GC so far.

Those who ordered online, how much time is it taking to arrive promotional target GC once the apple GC had come? I got all three Apple GC within 4 hour of order but no Target GC, its been 12 hours after the last Apple GC.
