What is everyone buying at apple? The ipad and iphone prices are always better at retailers unless you have an employee discount
That's true. For Some things yes but for others not. For example, Apple iPad Pro 256 gb 12 inch is $1200 with tax. Combine 12 gift cards into Apple account (although max 8 gift cards you can use at checkout, you can add more into your Apple ID account prior to checkout) . 12 x $20 = $240 target gift cards. Plus the Black Friday promotion $100 Apple gift card. Total of $340 cash back (if you treat the gift cards as cash) $1200 - $340 = $860 . You will not be able to find it at this price anywhere

WOW!! Thank You.
Do you know if they sell these cards in store? I feel like if I buy them online they will give me only one $20 Target gift card and tell me one per customer.
Last night i bought several using the self check out. Scan the gift card then hit pay then it will ask you to get a target gift card to scan for your $20. You can then pay as usual. Repeat for however many apple cards you need.

I'm planning to get the next gen 12.9" iPad Pro next year. Buying $1,000 in gift cards plus $200 extra is a better deal than I can get from another store, plus I don't have to wait for a sale when it comes out.

Obviously, the cards can be used for Apple computers like a Mac Mini or a Macbook during the Apple Event where there is a discount in the form of (yet another) Apple gift card. But they can also be used to fund things like Apple TV+, Apple Music and app purchases, etc.

For the iPhones, the prices are not always less at other retailers. For example, if you don't have a carrier discount, the iPhone 12 price is pretty much the same everywhere. In which case using these cards is one of the few ways to get a discount. Especially if you use Discover or Red card to buy the gift cards.

This is my math. 10 x100 Apple gift cards = $1000 10 x $20 target gift cards = $200. $1000-$200 = $800 $800/$1000 = 20%. I'm taking $1000 out of my pocket and putting $200 back in my pocket.
Wrong. It works out to a 16.67% discount, or another way you can look at it is you're getting a 20% premium on your $1,000 spend.

You should start purchasing the Apple gift cards from target if you want to take advantage of the Apple.com 4 day Black Friday promotion because the Apple gift cards from Target came in 24 hours later.

Way to save more.
Use Chase Freedom, pay through PayPal, get 500 UR points back (5X), merge UR to CSR account, you can spent this 500 UR as $7.5 on grocery by applying "pay yourself back" feature.

By spending $100, you get $100 apple + $20 target + $7.5 grocery + restaurant. You can apply this to as much as 15X$100 apple gift cards.

Or the Apple home pod deal where you get 100 Apple gift card when you purchase the home pod for 300-100=200

They've been slow with the Target gift cards.
I bought 7 Apple gift cards last Sunday, and got all of my Target gift cards within minutes of getting my Apple gift cards. Yesterday, I bought one more Apple gift card. I received it a couple hours later, but it's been 20 hours and I have yet to receive my Target gift card.

1) Has anyone bought 8 or 10 e-gift cards TODAY, or YESTERDAY, specifically and received the $20 target gift card on every e-gift card?

2. Has each transaction gone through on paypal (Chase Freedom with 5% bonus) without it being blocked?

When using multiple target accounts for this deal, how do you get the target gift cards to consolidate to one account? I did the first one from my actual main target account t and it automatically put it in my wallet gift card balance
There's no need for all of this. Target doesn't care. Buy as many as they have, just ring them all up one at a time.

I am a current T-Mobile user, and have a iPhone X. I would like a 12 Pro. I am also a Costco member.

Purchase from Apple w/GC

$999 phone
94.91 sales tax
-1100 pay with gc
1045 paid for gift cards (5% red card discount)
- 250 Apple trade in for iPhone X
-150 rebate from T-Mobile
-220 gc from Target promo
-------------
$418.91 out of pocket, counting $220 in Target gc as cash

Purchase from Costco

$899 phone
85.41 sales tax
-370 for iPhone X Trade-In
-39.38 rewards from Executive membership/CitiCard
--------------
$575.03 out of pocket

Am I calculating this right?

Also, are phones from Apple factory unlocked, while the phones from Costco can only be locked after 40 days use on the network?

Are there any other deals I am missing?

Earlier post said Target purchase is eligible for pay your self as well.
