Guys, Illini is correct with the math. You are effectively paying 100 dollars for 120 dollars worth of value (100 apple gc + 20 target gc) which equates to a 16.67% discount. But use your Red card or Chase via Paypal to make it closer to 20%. Either ways, great value for brand new apple products.
Yeah it makes sense to me now....
but target gift cards are essentially equivalent to cash, if you were stuck with bestbuy gift cards that's a different story.

I have purchased 12, each with individual transactions. I have received all my codes and still waiting for the 3 more $20 gift card. No issues at all. It does take a little longer this time, probably due to high demand.
Individual transactions from same target account or different accounts every time?

I don't know what this person is talking about. I bought one and have a pending charge for $100 on my CC. I received the Apple GC but not the Target GC.
The person is just confused since your $100 pending charge will turn into $80 for the Apple gift card and $20 for the Target gift card.

How many of those can be bought with single target account? Is it one per transaction or one per guest ?

Little confused by this. The Apples GC is $100, not $80, a piece. 11 Apples GCs ($1100 to cover the phone) would return $55 in RED (5%).

So the original math is correct... I also assume T-Mobile upgrade for buying from Apples.
$100 Apple gift card purchased through PayPal would yield 5% cashback for something like Chase Freedom card. This would be $5 back.

Same transaction with Red Card would yield $4 off since Target is charging you $80 for the $100 Apple gift card and $20 for the $20 Target gift card. You won't get the Red card cashback for the Target gift card portion.

Quick questions for ppl who bought GC at store. Did you get physical target gift card right away? And without providing email? And were you abe to score more than one ($100) Apples GC? TIA (Thanks in advance).

Ordered 1 Gift Card online 24 hours ago. Apple Card arrived about 2.5 hours after ordering, but the order on the website is still marked pending, so the $20 Target Card has not been sent.

Doing it in-store is much easier if you can - the gift cards are created instantly on check out and are physical for regifting or adding to your account

Curious can you apply the apple gc to the student store account and use them to pay for a new MacBook pro?

Same account same credit card (red card). Don't bother creating multiple accounts or you might trigger some kind of fraud detection on their end. Personally, I also been spacing out my transactions as well. It's slower, but I've also gotten all my Apple Cards (I redeem as soon as I get them) and the target GCs will come the next day or so. It takes time, but they will come.

1. For those buying an Apple iphone online. For a "trade in" of an older phone, does Apple credit you immediately. Meaning, if a phone costs $1,000 and you have a $300 trade in phone, does Apple charge you only $700 upfront? I ask because it will help me decide how many Target cards to get. Thank you.

Purchased 17 yesterday, got 5 Target eGCs last night, nothing since but am not worried nor in a hurry.

Also got my $50 Apple GC from my Apple TV purchase

Updated: Am now up to 7 Target eGCs

It might be a coincidence but I had bought 7 with the Target Red Card and 10 with Discover

Sometimes when Target does free gift cards with purchase it discounts the item and charges you the gift card price separately.

Can you please provide instructions on how to add the Apple gift cards to an Apple account? And, is an Apple account the same as your icloud account one establishes when they buy an apple iphone?

Interesting on the Red Card. Thanks for the info. If I were in this situation, Chase Freedom is a better deal.
