Just to answer some common questions I keep seeing:
- Each card needs to be purchased as a separate Target transaction in order to get the Target card bonus for each Apple card.
- You can use the same Target account, no need to make separate accounts (unless you are trying to circumvent the new limit that seems to have been added today).
- You will get an order confirmation email immediately.
- Apple cards will arrive via email several hours to a day later. The email has a link to Target's fulfillment site which will then take you to the actual gift card code. From there you can either manually copy/paste the code or simply click the link and it should open up the proper program on your computer or phone in order to load the card to your Apple account.
- You will receive another email at some point that informs you that the email with the Apple gift card was sent. This email doesn't have any value.
- Target bonus cards will arrive a day or so later via email. I've found that they generally arrive a few hours after you receive the email I mentioned in the previous point above. Sometimes the cards will already be loaded into your Target wallet in the Target app, but the majority of mine have not been preloaded. The email will contain a link that will load them into your Target account. The Target app also has a button that will allow you to combine all the cards into a single balance for easier use.
- The Apple gift cards will trigger the bonus offers on the Apple site (for instance, buy an Apple TV with the Apple gift cards you bought from Target and Apple will send you a $50 Apple gift card).
- You can use the Target gift cards to buy other items at Target that have a gift card bonus offer, but you can't use them to actually buy more gift cards. For instance, you can buy two packs of laundry detergent which has a $5 Target gift card bonus offer and you'll get the $5 bonus gift card, but you can't use the Target gift cards to buy more Apple gift cards.
- You can load up to $2000 in total balance to your Apple account. Additionally you are only allowed to load $2000 total per day. So even if you buy something using your Apple balance you'll still need to wait a day before you can load more gift cards into your balance.
- You can apply up to 8 gift card codes during checkout at Apple.
Apparently, Best Buy will offer the same deal (BB GC) during BF.
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/blac...8908893088

Edit: some idiots have been replying to me on how they like this deal better than BB's since GC is more useful to them. I couldn't care less about your situation. I'm just letting people know about BB's deal.
Assuming you're treating the $20 like cash, you're getting 16.67% off, not 20%.

20% would be if they were only charging you $80 for a $100 gift card. You're paying $100 for $120.

Edit: Unless you're including the Red Card 5% off, in which case it's more like 21%

You have now been charged $80.00 (the price of this item). Thanks for shopping Target!"

I don't get this. Is Target only charging one $80 for the card? It doesn't make sense because I got a $100 Apple card and $20 in a Target email. Is their email message just stated incorrectly.... meaning it should have stated $100 rather than $80. Or, am I missing something?
You get charged $80 for the Apple Giftcard ($100 value) and $20 for the Target giftcard

FYI when I bought my phone I bought the phone first online and then took my old phone to the store a week or so later to trade it in. They just confirmed that I had purchased the new phone and then told me I could give them any credit card at all and they put the trade in value on that. It didn't even have to be my own credit card, they would process the credit to any card I gave them.
So when buying online, you actually had to pay the full amount, and only then you received the credit for the phone, correct? So, as an example, if you intend to buy a $1000 phone online with a $300 trade in, Apple will charge you $1,000 right away as opposed to $700, correct? Would it be different if you bought the item from the store...in this case is the credit instantaneous in the sense that you only pay $700 upfront when trade in done live when purchasing at the store?

Does this mean, when the order processes/transacts, your credit card will show 2 separate transactions (for $80 and $20) as opposed to a single $100 transaction? If not, why is Target sending info on their internal accounting transactions?

You are Pagal indeed.

There are no problems or any issues, any longer if you buy online.

What we know so far:

Limit of 7 on $100 denomination cards in individual transactions to get a total of $140 in Target spending cash/card.

No limit OR limit of 7 on $15, $25 or $50 denomination cards.

So, you can order 4 $25 cards, OR 2 $50 cards, or 7 $15 cards and still get $20 on Target spending cash. Woohoo! How is this possible? Each denomination gift card has a different stock picking unit (or SKU) so when placing a limit, Target apparently placed the limit only on the $100 denomination!

Thanks to the person who discovered this loophole (likely a programmer (but not Pagal, obviously) who understands logic in building code).
I got ten $100 cards online over a few days. So either the limit is daily one, or it depends on customer profile, as in number of years.

You will see two transactions $76 and $20. Why it's even matter how they post it?

Are most people having to wait four hours to get the apple cards? I just placed 10 orders, first of which was 4 hours and 1 minute ago, and still haven't seen any apple cards arrive.

Also, for those who got cancellations, how soon after the order did you receive the cancellation?

Cancellations were almost instantaneous. So, if your cancellation is not within 3 minutes of the order confirmation, it likely sailed through. This is assuming that your email server (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) doesn't delay the mail from Target.

Get 700, as far as I know Apple suppose to charge you full price refund your trade in value to your credit card or whatever form of payment.. the simplest way to check is just go through the payment process with out complete then you will see.

And you cant use this GC thing in store since there is no way for the store to Apply your online account credit.. you might able to order and get a pickup etc... but still you will get charge the full price
