Just to answer some common questions I keep seeing:
- Each card needs to be purchased as a separate Target transaction in order to get the Target card bonus for each Apple card.
- You can use the same Target account, no need to make separate accounts (unless you are trying to circumvent the new limit that seems to have been added today).
- You will get an order confirmation email immediately.
- Apple cards will arrive via email several hours to a day later. The email has a link to Target's fulfillment site which will then take you to the actual gift card code. From there you can either manually copy/paste the code or simply click the link and it should open up the proper program on your computer or phone in order to load the card to your Apple account.
- You will receive another email at some point that informs you that the email with the Apple gift card was sent. This email doesn't have any value.
- Target bonus cards will arrive a day or so later via email. I've found that they generally arrive a few hours after you receive the email I mentioned in the previous point above. Sometimes the cards will already be loaded into your Target wallet in the Target app, but the majority of mine have not been preloaded. The email will contain a link that will load them into your Target account. The Target app also has a button that will allow you to combine all the cards into a single balance for easier use.
- The Apple gift cards will trigger the bonus offers on the Apple site (for instance, buy an Apple TV with the Apple gift cards you bought from Target and Apple will send you a $50 Apple gift card).
- You can use the Target gift cards to buy other items at Target that have a gift card bonus offer, but you can't use them to actually buy more gift cards. For instance, you can buy two packs of laundry detergent which has a $5 Target gift card bonus offer and you'll get the $5 bonus gift card, but you can't use the Target gift cards to buy more Apple gift cards.
- You can load up to $2000 in total balance to your Apple account. Additionally you are only allowed to load $2000 total per day. So even if you buy something using your Apple balance you'll still need to wait a day before you can load more gift cards into your balance.
- You can apply up to 8 gift card codes during checkout at Apple.
Apparently, Best Buy will offer the same deal (BB GC) during BF.

Edit: some idiots have been replying to me on how they like this deal better than BB's since GC is more useful to them. I couldn't care less about your situation. I'm just letting people know about BB's deal.
Assuming you're treating the $20 like cash, you're getting 16.67% off, not 20%.

20% would be if they were only charging you $80 for a $100 gift card. You're paying $100 for $120.

Edit: Unless you're including the Red Card 5% off, in which case it's more like 21%

I bought several Apple gift cards instore on the 27th. Tried to redeem 2 of the cards today... both of them were already redeemed! I was suspicious of the other 2 yet to be opened cards I have so I called the Apple customer service line listed on the back of the gift card. The Apple agent said that all 4 cards that I have were already redeemed about 6 minutes after I activated them at the Target store. Darn! Apple said that it was redeemed by some hotmail account and asked me to go back to the Target store for refund. I then called Target customer service line for help and said that they have activated and transferred funds correctly. She said that it should be Apple who should refund me because they are ultimately the ones who can see who redeemed it and when. Also, Apple is were the funds will be used at. The Target agent then connected us via 3-way call with an Apple Agent. Apple agent said they can not help and that basically I am out of luck. He can not get the Apple funds from the one who illegally got my money and put in on mine. Target Agent was audibly not happy with the Apple agent's response and asked the Apple agent to disconnect from the call. Target agent submitted a "ticket" and said that somebody will research and get back to me. She said that there has been quite a few cases similar to mine recently as well.

Now, I have been scammed on $400 worth of Apple gift cards (at least I still have the 'free' $80 Target ones). Awaiting resolution... hoping I get my money back!

I went back to the store today for a refund. Rejected. Requested store manager and explained what happened but rejected again. She insisted all gift card sales are FINAL.
Called Apple 800-275-2273 and they confirmed those gift cards were used by someone else and they flagged the account but they cannot reinstate funds to me. According to them, Target should give me a refund.
Called Target Gift card dept. 800-544-2943 and they were not able to assist me but they will investigate this.
No one is taking responsibility for this matter. I purchased with Target Debit card and I can't even dispute charges with them. They put me back to the gift card dept.
I filed a police report and also to Federal Trade Center, State Attorney.
E-mailed a few Target executives as well.
Submitted story to local news channels.

I'm doing everything I can but no luck yet. I'll post if there are any updates in my case.
I am on the same boat as you are. I have been scammed of $400 worth of gift cards. Any updates on your case?

I think that is the right solution. I wanted to purchase 13 GCs but did so all in about 30 minutes. About half of those were canceled, so I placed 7 more orders as the cancellations started coming in and spread those out. All in all I was able to purchase 8 so not too bad.
8 isn't bad! this deal was great compared to the bby one, since bby restricted one digital/one physical every 24-48 hours. no limit ftw. Smilie

Not true, i ordered 8 gift cards, i received all eight in 4 hours. and target promotional gc received a day later
That wasn't true for everyone—as I posted earlier, my mom was able to get ten the first day (when all but two of mine were cancelled). That's the reason they gave me.
I was subsequently able to order the additional cards I needed (the following day), and all the cards and bonus Target cards have come through.
Still can't believe this deal from the Target side of things....

You can do one electronic plus one pickup in store on day one. Worked at least for me.

Will try another two on day two tomorrow if it still works.

TIP: Make sure you don't remove the gift card(s) from your target account after you redeem it or when the value of those gift card(s) becomes zero. If and when you return/cancel any orders on Target, they refund the credits back to same gift cards.

I removed my GCs when the value in them became zero. After canceling a recent order I didn't get my funds back and the support rep said they will process it in 24-48 hours. I went back to old emails and tried adding the cards back, the GCs did have the funds in them. Such a hassle!

Update: I ordered 5 more GCs an hour before the deal expired. I got all the Apple GCs in an hour and Target GCs in 4 hours! That's 27 Gcs (25x Target + 2x BB) in total that I'm going to save for future Apple product purchases. I also ordered a DJI Mini 2 on Apple Store as these aren't discounted anywhere as the Mini 2 is a new release. Thanks, SD community!
Is there a limit to the number of Best buy ones you can do?

Just received my final 7 Target gc's from my final order placed yesterday. So in total 20 Apple gc's 2K apple bank + $400 Target gc's. 1 BB Apple gc with 1 still processing. This deal has been by far one of the finer bright spots in a very trying 2020 year. Thanks again Slickdeal community for all your help & support!.
