This is probably better than the Hisense, but not by much. Rtings has reviews on previous models on both. The Samsung is definitely not worth $250 more. I'd say the only upgrade from these that would be worth it would be a TCL 6 series or the comparable midrange Hisense.

I have a TCL 6 series, Hisense from BB, and Onn from Walmart. The 6 series is noticeably better than the other two but not by a massive margin. The Hisense and Onn are almost identical in terms of image quality.

It's insane to me that they can sell quality 4k 65" TVs for this price. Like seriously, the Hisense and Onn look unbelievable for the price.

Purchased it last week and set it up for my mom...she was upgrading from a 42" plasma and she was shocked how good the screen was...the interface or changing inputs and such is confusing at first but once set up, shes very happy, especially at this price

I saw an article claiming there's a chinese software hidden in these. Might be worth a google search on it before purchase.

I missed on this last time when I procrastinated on pulling the trigger. I ended up with the 55" TCL from Walmart for $148. Now part of me wants to get this one anyways, even if I really don't have anywhere to put it. I mean, I could put the 65" where I just put the 55" (game room/exercise room) and put the 55" in the garage where I have a 39".

Damn Slickdeals getting me all confused in the need vs. want debate.

if your the technie type you can just findout what IP ports they listen on and block them on your router/firewall

They're probably planning on getting the adjustment after the sale starts. Doesn't matter, once you have it you're gold. The price match will be certain, just have to make sure you get the exact same sku.

I have in the past got extensions, beyond the 3 days you ordinarily have to pick up your orders, but IDK if they'd do so under these circumstances. Otherwise, your p/u window would expire before the sale starts on the 22nd.
