This is the first time this model has been discounted. Limit 1 per customer. ~ persian_mafia
No, it's not a sizeable discount (I myself was hoping for a $100 discount to pull the trigger), but I believe it's the first discount this monitor has ever had.
Monoprice has a rep for selling mostly solid cheap electronics. Personally bought a couple hdmi and USB cables that worked well for a couple years before dying. Bought a 5.1 surround from them as well last year that I've had no problems with. IMO monoprice is great, but expect to replace in 2-3 years.

Agreed. Good monitor at a discount. Not sure what's up with the hate.

would recommend saving for the new g9 that goes on sale next week over at newegg. much better monitor for only $300 more. see reviews comparing the two, as the monoproce one continues to not be able to properly display 10bit compared to the g9 (even though they are same panel)

I have the dell 49". It is not for FPS gaming, but the KVM is awesome and makes two machines side by side or easily switched between. Sadly it can't put my 2012 Mac Mini to full screen, only half.
Anyway, I got it for ~$1000 (factoring in a 100 dell gc) and would recommend it for any non-FPS gamer who would benefit from the KVM

Your Dell also does USB-C, don't think this one does (unless I'm wrong on that)
